Handy, Sr., Jacky Lee

Jacky Lee Handy Sr., age 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Radford, VA. Born June 6, 1955, in Monroe County, WV, he was the son of the of the late Leonard S. and Waneta Cole Handy.

Jacky was of the Baptist Faith and worked as a rod-buster. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and working on vehicles. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Jacky was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin, Leonard Jr., and infant Roger Dean; and sisters, Marie, Margaret, and Pamela.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Kathy Marie Robbins Handy; son, Jacky Lee Handy Jr. and wife Sasha of Ballard, WV; daughter, April Parker and husband Chris of Bluefield, WV; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Crystal, Morgan, A.J., Isabelle, Jackson, Penny, and Marley; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin Handy and Anthony Handy, both of Peterstown, WV; and two sisters, Lorine Handy and Melinda Handy, both of Lindside, WV.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Chambers Cemetery in Lindside, WV, with Pastor Paul Broyles officiating.
