Scott Joseph Andrew Barry, 75, passed away Monday, November 2, 2026, at his home in Pilot. Scott was an avid outdoorsman, a true friend and family man. He was happiest in his mountain home and was able to spend his last days there with family and friends galore. He told stories to the end.

He was a 1969 graduate of Hudson Falls high school and fondly spoke of being on the wrestling team and running high hurdles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Richard and Elanor Frances Lapoint Barry and brother Daniel Richard (Rick) Barry.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lynn Marie Eldridge Barry; sons, Scott Joseph Barry and Jonathan Livingston Barry (Martha); daughter, Racheal Barry Stockton (Eric); grandchildren, Julius Fountain, Anabel Barry, Patton Barry, Sophie Barry, Julian Barry, Chandler White, Ronald Penn III, and Joshua Penn; great grandchildren, Ronald and Carter Penn; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 2 pm on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Auburn Baptist Church in Riner. Though it is a church there will not be a service, just friends gathering with fond memories lending support.

In lieu of flowers, we ask everyone to perform an act of kindness to a stranger. Buy a homeless person a meal, pay for a needy person’s purchases in line in front of you, anything really.
