Gray, Leta Marie

Leta Marie Gray, age 80, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026. Born January 28, 1946, in Ballard, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Alice Humphreys Miller.

Leta was a member of the Kellysville Church of God. She worked at Celanese and retired after 40 years of service. She loved cooking and babysitting and enjoyed shopping and going out to eat. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Gale Gray.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Clarence Gale Gray and wife Debbie of Ballard, WV; stepson, Michael Gray and wife Patricia of Christiansburg, VA; grandchildren, Gage (Victoria), Tyler (Coda), Caitlin, Elizabeth, Jodie, and Danielle; great grandchildren, Cierra, Alice, Willow, and Paisley; great great grandchild, Raelynn; two brothers, Melvin Miller and wife Paula of Ballard, WV, and Clarence Leroy Miller and wife Barbara of Peterstown, WV; sister, Neta Dunn and husband Hunter of Peterstown, WV; her special friend, Hiram Weatherly, whom she loved spending time with; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Jonathan Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
