Weather Outlook for 8/3

The threat of flash flooding continues this afternoon and tonight, as a surface front becomes aligned along the Blue Ridge and then moves east, which will be the main location for shower and thunderstorm development this afternoon. Ample moisture remains in the atmosphere, which will continue to promote high rainfall rates in any of the stronger storms. Some of the same areas that received rain over the weekend could also see more rain today.
