Woods, Frank Henderson
Frank Henderson Woods was born to the late Frank William Woods and Ida May Collins Woods on December 21st, 1935.
Frank leaves behind to love and cherish his memory, his wife of 73 years, Beva Akers Woods. They were married on the 3rd of January in 1954. Also surviving are their sons, Norman (Brenda) Woods, Clark (Joyce) Woods, Kenneth Woods, and Rodney Woods; grandchildren, Crystal (Jeff) Hicks, Misty (Matt) Osborne, Aaron (Esther) Woods, Adam (Tammy) Woods, Joe (Holly) Woods, Daniel Woods, Jacob Woods, Jeremy Woods, Sarah (Matthew) Wright, Lynn (Joe) Chandler, Zachary (Jessi) Woods, Ben (Sarah) Woods, Caleb (Morgan) Woods and Rachel Woods; great-grandchildren, Elijah Hicks, Mandy (Brandon) Kempa, Dillyn Osborne, Miranda Osborne, Dain Osborne, Layla Woods, Sylvia Woods, Saryna Woods, Gabriella Woods, Lydia Woods, Laynie Woods, Tyler Francis, Megan (Nick) Wright, Christian (Hannah) Woods, Jeff (Faith) Woods, Kaitie (Isaiah) McAmis, Levi Woods, Kayden Woods, Michael Woods, Makayla Woods, Logan Wright, Colin Wright, Rena Chandler, Gavyn Blankenship, Zoey Blankenship, Adalynn Woods, and Emersyn Woods; great-great grandson, James Henderson Wright; brothers, Garland (Pilar) Woods and Robert Woods; sisters, Joan Kinley and Joyce Jarvis; sisters-in-law, Joyce Akers, and Elouise Akers; brother-in-law, Raymond (Charlotte) Akers; as well as many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Lynn Woods; great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Wright; and brother, Richard Woods.
Frank lived on this Earth for 90 years but will live on in the hearts and memories of his family and friends. Frank accomplished many things while on this Earth, but his greatest accomplishment was his family and his walk with God. Frank was a Pentecostal Holiness Minister for over 50 years, with many years spent as a traveling minister. Frank also was Pastor at the “Beaver Creek Holiness Church” and the “Waters of Life Free Holiness Church”.
One of his best traits was his ability to calm and comfort babies and small children. There was never a child who did not love him; they saw the love in his eyes and felt the safety in his voice and arms. Even in his last days, his greatest joy was seeing his wife and grandchildren.
Frank has departed this life and gone to his reward in Heaven. The reunion must have been amazing. For his loved ones left behind, we will see him again soon, and we know he will be there to welcome us home.
You cannot say, you must not say that he is dead. He is just away. With a loving smile and a wave of hand, he wandered into an unknown land. With loved ones gathered, what a reunion grand. He will wait for us in that unknown land. So, think of him still the same and say, he is not dead, he is just away.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Riverview Holiness Church with Pastor Jason Meredith officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the church.
