Torgerson, Robert Harold

Robert ”Bob” Harold Torgersen, age 89, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. He was born to Einar and Frances Torgersen on June 23, 1937, on Staten Island, New York. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law Paul and Dorothea Torgersen.

Bob is survived by three brothers, Edward (Dianne) Torgersen, David Torgersen, and Peter (Lynn) Torgersen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob was a graduate of Princeton University and a postgraduate of Columbia University. He served as an officer in the US Air Force in the US and the Middle East.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Priscilla Soucek for her compassionate support during Bob’s final months.

The funeral service will be private.
