Governor Urges Virginians To VOTE
Governor Abigail Spanberger today released the following statement on Election Day.
“Election Day is a reminder of the responsibility we all share in shaping the future of our Commonwealth and our country. Virginians can use their votes to choose representatives who they believe will address their top-of-mind challenges, contend with the chaos out of Washington, and always put them first. Our neighbors also have the opportunity to weigh in on three proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution — to protect reproductive freedoms, defend marriage equality, and affirm the right to vote for all eligible Virginians.
“These are important decisions, and I encourage every eligible Virginia voter to make their voices heard at the ballot box. At a time when chaos and uncertainty continue to dominate our national politics, we can send a clear message about the future we want to build — one grounded in accountability, steady leadership, and a commitment to delivering for people.”
Polls are open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. If Virginians are in line to vote by 7:00 PM, they are entitled to vote. Virginians can visit elections.virginia.gov to find their polling place and see what is on their ballot.
If eligible Virginians did not register to vote by the October 23 deadline, they can still vote using same day registration at their polling place to cast a provisional ballot.
