Wikle, James Robert

James Robert “Jim” Wikle, 91 of Rock Camp, WV passed away on January 31 2026 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Blacksburg, VA. He was born on March 13, 1934 in Rock Camp, WV to Edison and Opal Copeland Wikle.

Jim had many jobs over his lifetime. His later years were spent on the family farm.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Patricia Belcher Wikle Harrison, the mother of his daughters, and Regina Shires Wikle.

Jim is survived by two daughters, Janet (Rick) Sutphin of Kansas City, KS and Jackie (Novel) Martin of Roanoke, VA; two sisters, Ruby O’ Farrell of Union, WV and Anna Lee Simms of Port Orange, FL; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; niece, Kim (Mike) Mealy of Fort Mill, SC; a great niece, Mikala (Jacob) Nicolson of SC and good friends, Charles, Donnie and Frankie Nowlin, James Raines and cousin, Dan Copeland.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, February 8,2026, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV with Pastor Jimmy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Ellison Cemetery in Rock Camp, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.
