Hager, Karl Guenter

Karl Guenter Hager, 79 of Dublin VA, passed away, Thursday, December 4, 2025. Born November 17, 1946, in Traunstein Germany, he was the son of the late Charles and Wally Hager.

He loved his grandchildren and spending time outdoors. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a great drafter and planner and enjoyed designing building projects.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Charles Thomas Hager and wife Linda Kendall Hager.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years,  Carolyn Adams Hager; three children, James Andrew Hager, Thomas William Hager and wife Kathy, Karl Jefferson Hager and wife Terri Nicewander Hager; seven grandchildren, Julia Hess and husband Trevor, Brooke Odum and husband Jacob, Stefanie Delp and husband Elliot, Cynthia Hager and fiancé Kirkland Vereen, Bailey Hager and fiancée Meaghan Gilbert, Mason Hager, Scottlyn Hager; one great grandchild, Natalie Odum; brothers and sister, George William Hager and wife Anne W. Hager, Marie  C. Hager, John B. Hager and wife Lynda Hager; nephew, John Elliot Hager; sister in law,  Darlene Harvey; nieces and nephews, Charles “Charlie “ Kendall Hager and Katie Hager, James Charles Hager, Jennifer Hager, and many other nieces and nephews; special family members, Debbie Price Hager, Nicole Freeman Hager, Annette McGinnis; special friends, Bob Masse, Tommy Aliff.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 8, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville VA with Minister Martin Paulson officiating. Burial will follow at the Hager Family Cemetery in Max Meadows VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 12-1 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville VA.
