Grove, H. L. (Butch)
H. L. (Butch) Grove, born September 28, 1944, and formerly of NC, passed from his earthly home in Peterstown, WV, to his home in heaven on December 26, 2024.
A Christian man who was highly thought of by many friends for his humble and loving manner, he will be dearly missed by the children he leaves: daughters, Carla Mosier and Renae Grove; sons, Chris Grove and Mick Grove; 9 grandchildren; stepsons, Lawrence and Will Hayes; and 7 step grandchildren. Also, he will be dearly missed by his close friends, David Bradley, who he enjoyed hunting and fishing with, and Jim and Joyce Pauley and Shirley Richardson.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Tim Sanderson officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 until the time of the services on Thursday at the funeral home.

Carla, my name is Judy Echols, I am Butch’s cousin and live in Gap Mills. You’ve been in my home but were too young to remember. I loved you Dad and we reconnected after his move back to WV.several times. I will miss his presence here on earth but I know he is ok today with his lord and his savior. Would you please give me your number so I can reach out to you after all this is over. I’m in hosp. And may get out w Wed. I will not be able to attend service due to Dr. order with all I’ve had going on. I am so sorry. Love you gal and I know Butch loved you and your beautiful twins. I will be there in my heart. JE
