Gravley, Jimmy Ray
Jimmy Gravley, age 79, passed away on March 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and son. Jimmy was born in Max Meadows, Virginia, the only son of Lewis and Grace (Viars) Gravley.
In 1969, Jimmy married his sweetheart, Sharon Rose, and they enjoyed 57 years of building a wonderful life together. Jimmy was a resident of Dublin, Virginia, for 47 years. Jimmy was a longtime member at the Dublin Church of God of Prophecy.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Grace (Viars), father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Eva Mooney, sisters Edna, Dorothy, Julie, and Brenda. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sharon; daughter, Susan (Garrett) Conner; son, Scott (Dondi) Gravley; grandchildren Eric, Chelsea, Tyler, Scotlyn, Payton, and Lilly; great grandchildren Connor, Azalynne, Magnolia, and Indy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private burial will take place at a later date.

It was an honor to meet and work with with such a great christian person at the arsenal. i could say if there was a role model of a man who followed christ outside of the church, he was one them. i know i will see him again when the time comes. Thank you for sharing him with the Wackenhut guards at Radford Arsenal.
