Christmas & New Year Schedules
Blacksburg: The Town of Blacksburg will operate under the following schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays:
Wednesday, December 24
All town administrative offices will be closed.
The Blacksburg Community Center and Aquatic Center will be closed.
Blacksburg Transit will operate on a reduced schedule and BT offices will be closed.
Thursday, December 25
All town administrative offices will be closed.
The Blacksburg Community Center and Aquatic Center will be closed.
There will be no Blacksburg Transit service.
There will be no trash and recycling pickup in the NE quadrant. Makeup service will be on Saturday, December 27.
Friday, December 26
All town administrative offices will be closed.
The Blacksburg Community Center and Aquatic Center will be closed.
Blacksburg Transit will operate on the Holiday Service schedule and BT offices will be closed.
Thursday, January 1
All town administrative offices will be closed.
The Blacksburg Community Center and Aquatic Center will be closed.
There will be no Blacksburg Transit service.
There will be no trash pickup in the NE quadrant. Makeup service will be on Saturday, January 3.
Christiansburg: Town Hall and the Aquatic Center will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24 through Friday, Dec. 26.
The Recreation Center will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25, but will be open Friday, Dec. 26 with administrative offices closed.
Solid waste and recycling normally scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 24, will be collected Monday, Dec. 22.
Solid waste and recycling normally scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 25, will be collected Tuesday, Dec. 23.
Solid waste and recycling normally scheduled for Friday, Dec. 26, will be collected Monday, Dec. 29.
In observance of the New Year, Town Hall, the Aquatic Center and the Recreation Center will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1.
The Aquatic Center will be open Wednesday, Dec. 31 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Recreation Center will also be open Wednesday, Dec. 31 from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Solid waste and recycling normally scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 1, will be collected Friday, Jan. 2 along with Friday’s regular collection. *Please have garbage ready for collection by 7:30 a.m.
Radford: Solid Waste Collection for Christmas Eve / Day:
Wednesday, December 24: Collected on Monday, December 22
Thursday, December 25: Collected on Tuesday, December 23
Friday, December 26: Collected on Monday, December 29
Solid Waste Collection for New Year’s Eve / Day:
Wednesday, December 31: Collected on Tuesday, December 30
Thursday, January 1: Collected on Friday, January 2
Drop Center: CLOSED
December 24-26, 2025
December 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026
Dublin: Dublin Town Offices will be closed Wednesday, December 24th through Friday, December 26th. Also, Thursday, January 1, 2026.
There will be no change in Dublin residential trash pick-up. Trash pick-up will be on regular schedule.
Pulaski County Pulaski County Administration Office and the Pulaski County Public Service Authority Billing Office will close Wednesday, December 24th and will continue to be closed on Thursday, December 25th and Friday, December 26th in observance of Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, trash collection will operate on regular schedule and drop sites will have normal hours. On Christmas Day, no trash collection and drop sites will be closed. On Friday the 26th, the trash for both Thursday and Friday routes will be picked up and drop sites open normal hours. Please expect delays on Friday for trash pickup.
