Hall, Edith Gearheart

Edith Elizabeth Gearheart Hall, 87, of Blacksburg, Virginia, was born on June 25, 1939, and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Salem Health and Rehab Center in Salem, Virginia.

She was the daughter of the late Herman and Myrtle Gearheart. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Ottie Louis Hall; son, Donald Wayne Hall; brothers, Thomas Gearheart and Henderson Linkous; sisters, Rebecca Flinchum, Josephine Lovern, and Lucille Linkous.

Left to cherish her memory are her grandson, Seth Austin Hall (Michelle); granddaughter, Hayley Noelle Hall; nieces, Sandra Cruise, Sharon Graham and Lori Ann Helvey; nephews, David Flinchum; Timmy, Kenny & Ricky Lovern and Mark & Dwayne Linkous.

Edith was a Christian of great faith, blessed with many friends, extended family, cherished visits, and activities through the years. In earlier years, she enjoyed travel, camping, family gatherings, and flower gardening. She was proud of her past employment at Imperial Reading and Hubbell Lighting. She was very proud to be a charter member of Faith Christian Church of Christ in Christiansburg, VA.

Family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 17, 2026, from noon to 1:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home. The graveside funeral service will be held at Roselawn Gardens Mausoleum from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m., with Pastor David Rhudy presiding.
