J C Underwood, 79, of Floyd went to be with the Lord on Monday February 10, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a crane operator for Lanford Brothers for 26 years.

He was preceded by his parents and four brothers. J C is survived by his wife of 51 years: Gloria Underwood; five daughters: Karen Underwood, Shelby Dixon (Wayne), Melissa Akers (Seth), Dawn Williams (Larry), Jennifer Pastrana (Arnold); Thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one sister: Lucy Turner; his fur buddies: Patch and Odd Ball; special niece and nephew: Tammy Underwood and Terry Underwood; other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday February 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM at County Line Cemetery with Pastor Mike Bowman and Pastor Murray Agee officiating.
