Statement on Redistricting Referendum Outcome
Governor Abigail Spanberger today released the following statement on the outcome of Virginia’s redistricting referendum.
“Virginia voters have spoken, and tonight they approved a temporary measure to push back against a President who claims he is ‘entitled’ to more Republican seats in Congress. Virginians watched other states go along with those demands without voter input — and we refused to let that stand. We responded the right way: at the ballot box.
“I understand the urgency of winning congressional seats as a check on this President, and I look forward to campaigning with candidates across the Commonwealth working to earn Virginians’ trust — and their votes. Looking forward, I remain committed to ensuring Virginia’s bipartisan redistricting commission gets back to work after the 2030 census, and to protecting the process Virginians voted to create.”

The two redistrictings under Youngkin made Republicans so happy and gloating. It’s okay for us but not for them.
Republican elected officials across the Commonwealth aren’t working for we the people. The party left regular people and rural farmers behind. I left Republicans on this vote.

I am so disappointed that not enough voters got out to vote NO. That is what happens when you buy votes. God help the state of Virginia to survive the term of this horrible governor!

This is the whole reason why we need an electrical college protocol at the state level, the majority of counties in the state would control the outcome. jerrymandering would become obsolete.

In an ideal world, everyone would have a nice home. Everyone would have great healthcare. Everyone would have abundant food and water. Everyone could say whatever they want, go anywhere they want and be with anyone they want. Listen up kids……it doesn’t exist! This ideal world promised by communists, socialists, and anarchists has never existed in the history of mankind or any civilization anywhere in the world, ever. Any government that tells you it does or promises that it will be achieved is just a big fat liar. But this is exactly what the liberal Left keeps promising…..yet never delivers. The evidence is there. Around the world governments like China, Russia, Cuba, North Korea and a multitude of other dictatorships are living proof that it does not exist. Not one leftist dictatorship you can think of is a country that has an immigration problem. Nobody wants to move there. America is the promise. America was built on Capitalism. This is how it works. Capitalism is how things improve on our journey to a more perfect Union. Like infinity, it is a concept. Never quite achieved but always pursued. Those on the left who decry our American values are the ones who continue to believe that they are entitled to an ideal world. There is no such thing. Never was, never will be. Time to grow up.
