A SNOW SQUALL WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM EST FOR SOUTHERN ROANOKE…NORTHERN FLOYD…NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN AND SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTIES AND THE SOUTHEASTERN CITY OF RADFORD.

At 248 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located over Crockett Springs, or near Pilot, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than one-quarter mile. Wind gusts up to 20 mph.

IMPACT…Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes.
