Velma aka Granny P, Granny Doo was our family matriarch and will be greatly missed. She worked many jobs over the years including being a cook, and retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. She raised four daughters on her own. She was a loving, hard working, and tough woman with a strong sense of community. She was an animal and plant lover. She could start a plant from just a twig. She always had a huge garden, loved canning and sharing the fruits of her labor. She prepared many meals for her family over the years and was always making sure everyone was fed and had a full belly whether you wanted it or not. She loved clocks and collecting doodads, but most of all she loved her family and we loved her too.
