Meadows, Cameron Randolph

Cameron Randolph Meadows, 78, of Pearisburg, VA, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Pulaski Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 29, 1947 in Pearisburg, VA, the son of the late Randolph Macon Meadows and Virginia Agnes Palmer Neighbors.

Cameron was a gentle, wonderful man with a fantastic sense of humor. In his younger years, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting and canoeing.

He was the greatest fudge maker and would ship his fudge all over the country during the holidays.

He worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years; he was a route carrier for many years and retired as a timekeeper.

After their retirement, he and his wife, “Toni,” traveled and were able to live in different states such as Las Vegas, NV and Rehoboth, DE, before travelling back to his hometown, a place he desired to come back to his entire life, Pearisburg, VA.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Giles County Family Center where he would play Bridge weekly and would host card games at his home. Many weeks after the Bridge game, several of the attendees would enjoy going out for dinner together. He especially enjoyed going to Blue Grass BBQ or Texas Roadhouse.

Cameron was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph Macon Meadows and Virginia Agnes Palmer Neighbors and his aunts and uncles.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 25 years, Elizabeth “Toni” Meadows; his son & daughter-in-law, Nathan & Claire Meadows; his daughter, Sarah Yao; his beloved granddaughters, Paige Meadows and Kaida Yao; his uncle & aunt, Fred & Barbara Palmer; and many assorted cousins and special friends, too many to list.

Per his wishes, he has been cremated. There are no public services planned at this time.
