Mileski, Janice Humphries 2Janice H. Mileski, 84, of Riner, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on October 29, 2026. Born in Quinwood, West Virginia, on October 10, 1942, Janice was the daughter of Vance and Elouise Humphries. She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, David Humphries.

Janice is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Keith Mileski, of Riner, Virginia; her son, Steve Mileski, and his wife, Betsy Mileski, of Richmond, Virginia, and their children, Seth Mileski and Sierra Mileski; and her daughter, Hollie Mileski, of Orange County, California. She is also survived by her sister, Saundra Milton, and her husband, Gary Milton, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, and her niece, Vanessa Milton Vigil, and her husband, Will, of Sterling, Virginia.

Janice’s life was filled with love for her family, her dogs, and her flowers. She devoted herself to raising her children and found joy in tending her garden. Her special love of lavender led her to establish Mystic River Lavender in 2008, bringing together her love of growing things and the beauty of nature.

Her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was a cherished part of her life, and she looked forward to being with Him and her family in heaven. Her family finds comfort in that faith and in the memories they will always hold close. Janice was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060. The family kindly requests no flowers.
