Kitts, Michelle Willis 2Michelle W. Kitts, age 60, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at her residence. She was born on May 13, 1966, in Radford, Virginia.

Michelle was a faithful member of New Life Church in Canton and was a devoted pastor’s wife for 33 years. A lifelong student of the Bible, she faithfully served alongside her husband wherever she was needed, touching countless lives through her love, wisdom, and unwavering faith.

An educator for over 20 years, Michelle most recently taught at Sequoyah High School. She earned her Master’s degree and had a special passion for working with students in special education, where her compassion and dedication made a lasting impact.

Michelle enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending time at the beach, with Cherry Grove, South Carolina holding a special place in her heart. She believed in a little “retail therapy” and never passed up an opportunity for a shopping trip. Gifted with a talent for interior design and decorating, she had a remarkable ability to transform any house into a warm and welcoming home. She also loved collecting elephants and treasured every seashell gathered from her beach adventures.

Above all, Michelle’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved and was a devoted wife, loving mother, treasured daughter, and loyal friend. She found great fulfillment in serving others, offering generous hospitality to everyone who entered her home. Known for her grace, kindness, and honesty, Michelle lived her life with unwavering faith and genuine compassion.

Her beautiful spirit, servant’s heart, and enduring love for the Lord, her family, and others will forever be remembered. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Willis; grandparents, John and Ruby Willis and Henry and Helen Parks.

Michelle is survived by her husband of over 34 years, Pastor J.B. Kitts; sons, Austin Kitts (Sarah) and Brady Kitts (Noelle); mother, Patricia Young; sister, Tammie O’Dell; as well as a niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at New Life Church with Pastor Cy Harris, Pastor Keith Bates and Dr. Allan Mallory officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michelle may be made in support of Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University for the purpose of the ALS Clinic. Donations may be made online at winshipcancer.emory.edu/give or by phone at 404-778-5175.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visitation will be Saturday

from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
