Dunford, Josephine Wyatt 8On Thursday, September 7, 2023, Laura Josephine Dunford of Medway, MA, formerly from West Virginia and Virginia, passed peacefully into eternal life at the age of 90. Josephine was born March 2, 1933, to the late Rev. Manual Wyatt and Pearl Sprinkle and was raised in North Carolina.

She leaves behind two daughters, Donna Stewart and husband Lewis, and Patty Ingalls and husband Jeff; two sons, Loyd Dunford and wife Mauren, and John Dunford and wife Robbin; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Young and Louise Henry; and one brother David Wyatt.

Josephine will be remembered as a beautiful source of love, joy, happiness, and fun. She was a warrior mom. She worked very hard to support her children to give them a good life. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She endeared herself to each one of her children and grandchildren. She was a friend to everyone she met. She gave love, kindness, and support. The people in Massachusetts called her SB – Southern Bell. She was a sweetheart. She is with the Lord.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Ps.116:15.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 111 Market Street, Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Pete Dunford officiating. Burial will follow at the Peterstown Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until time of services at the funeral home.
