11/7: NRCC Discovery Day

New River Community College (NRCC) invites prospective students and their families to explore the possibilities of higher education during NRCC Discovery Day on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the college’s campus in Dublin.

Whether preparing for college, considering a career change, or looking for an affordable pathway to a four-year degree, visitors can discover the many educational and career opportunities available at NRCC. This free event will offer a chance to learn more about college programs, explore campus resources, meet college representatives, and get answers to questions about taking the next step toward educational and career goals.

Activities will include a Majors Fair, hands-on demonstrations in select campus labs, and a guided campus tour. Representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, ACCE, Career Services, and Veterans Services will also be available to share information and help visitors navigate the college experience.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees can choose from several breakout information sessions designed to address a variety of interests and needs. Topics include a FAFSA Workshop; 4-Year Transfer: Start Here, Go Anywhere; College Opportunities for Adult Learners; High-Wage Careers Start Here; Homeschool Student Connections; and assistance with NRCC and ACCE applications.
