Griffith Statement on American Relief Act
The U.S. House of Representatives completed passage of the American Relief Act. This legislation keeps the government funded through March and includes disaster relief supplemental funds. After voting in favor of the American Relief Act to fund the government and bring much-needed disaster relief aid to areas devastated by Hurricane Helene, like Southwest Virginia, U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:
“During a long, hard-fought week in DC, Congress had to navigate lots of moving pieces and complicated issues.
“I continually advocated for a spending package which included disaster relief. With the passage of the American Relief Act, we were successful in passing both government funding and disaster aid for Southwest Virginia in the end-of-year spending package.”

The Districts keeps electing Griffith and Cline. The area keeps going down down down. We get car washes instead of manufacturing jobs.

People need to look at his voting record. He voted against the previous FEMA budget but was glad to announce when the centers opened.
Why is Elon Musk tweeting and Congress listening to him? Congress is elected and paid for by the people to represent us. They do not work for the trillionaire who bought a presidency.

So, you tout what you liked in the new spending bill, but you fail to inform your constituency that this package is still FULL of pork that will ADD to the already insane deficit that continues to cause inflation!! You’ve been in Congress how long? In that time, kindly tell us what the national debt was when you took office and what it is today. The fact that you won’t and that you refuse to stick your neck out on so important a part of your job, tells me that you are not what Virginians and Americans need. It’s why, when it really counts, the Republican Party over many decades has too often represented the truth in the old saying that “there’s not a dime’s difference between the 2 monopoly parties”. Let me be among the first to ask that we primary you at the earliest opportunity. Merry Christmas.
