Alderman, Goldie Campbell

Goldie Campbell Alderman, 84 of Pilot, passed away September 25, 2024.

She attended Oak Grove Church where she had her church family that she loved and appreciated. She also loved to sing in the choir. Goldie enjoyed crafts, making things for others even if she didn’t know them – if someone saw something she made and said they liked it she would make them one. She has touched many lives and will live on through each of them.

Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Alderman; siblings, Clovis Campbell, David Campbell (Matilda), Bill Campbell (Birdie), Walter Campbell, Mary Lou Bowles (Floyd), Margaret Bussey (Forrest); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy Alderman, Rachel Alderman, Christine Linkous, Alvin Jones, and Herman Alderman.

She is survived by her children, Sara Gottleib (Dave), Sherry Alderman, Bucky Alderman (Lena), Kim Justice (Bobby), Stephanie Marshall (Phillip), Felicia Bibb (Chris); grandchildren, Henry Walker (Barbra), Krista Tillis, Dillon Justice, Amanda Macey (Nate); great-grandchildren, Katelynn Stump (Zach), Rusty Marshall, Abbie Bibb, Christian Bibb, Christopher Walker, Jonathan Harris, and Riley Bibb. Also missing Goldie are her sister, Betty Wentworth; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Doris Doyle, Barbra Altizer, Helen O’Dell (Charles), Darlene Worrell (Mike), Daniel Alderman (Martha), David Alderman (Teresa), Jr. Linkous, Dena Alderman, Alice Jones; lots of nieces and nephews that she dearly loved; and special friend, Lodis Sickey.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Dave officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Pilot.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Roanoke Memorial in ICU and the Palliative Care Unit.
