3/10: Supporting Independence with Dementia

Join Blacksburg Parks and Recreation on Tuesday, March 10 from 2-3pm at the Blacksburg Community Center for an informational session on supporting independence. Brooke Gill from the Alzheimer’s Association will empower caregivers to help individuals living with dementia engage in daily activities. It emphasizes providing appropriate levels of support, balancing safety with independence, and managing expectations to ensure the person feels valued and involved.
