It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one and the center of our family, Kathy Sue Williams departed this life on June 29, 2026 after a brief illness.

She was born in Giles County on February 4, 1961 to Grady B and Eula Carter Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Sam and Ruby Williams and Cleveland and Pansy Lucas Carter; and a brother, Johnny R Williams.

She attended Giles High School and started working at Federal Mogul where she retired. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Pembroke, Virginia.

She was a kind and generous woman who thought of others first. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Benny R Williams; her daughter, Melanie Tess Williams; and son, Justin R Williams all of Pembroke, Virginia, her granddaughters, Alexia and Ciara Chapman; and Rileigh Williams, who she was so proud of; her sister, Debbie W Cumbee; and nephews, Brian Cumbee, Ryan Williams, and Cody Bowers. She will be missed by numerous aunts, an uncle, and many cousins who will remember her laughter.

The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 1:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home. Funeral Services will conclude at Birchlawn Burial Park where she will be laid to rest.
