White, Arlene Mae

Arlene Mae White, 69, of Dublin, VA, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Roanoke. She was born June 27, 1957 in Pearisburg, VA, the daughter of the late Hubert Wallace, Sr. & Virgie Gertrude Chewning White.

Arlene was loving, independent, caring and even stubborn at times. She loved to read and enjoyed her pets. She retired from Wendy’s after many years of service as a grill cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Wallace, Sr. & Virgie Gertrude Chewning White and two sisters, June Ann White and Brenda Sue Mathena.

Left to cherish her memory are a special nephew and caregiver, Matthew Mathena and his fiancé, Beverly Webb and her children, Logan Kildow and Zakkary Kildow; special uncle & aunt, Elmer & Lenora Chewning; her special pet companions, “Lexie” and “Hannah;” and several extended family members and special neighbors.

Funeral services are planned for Monday, September 28, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Matt Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until service time, 1:00P.M.
