Trenar, Jr., Tommy Edison

Ralph “Tommy” Edison Trenar, Jr., 64 of Pearisburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Ralph was born on February 25, 1958, in Pearisburg and was a son of the late Ralph Edison Trenar, Sr. and Virginia Lee Hetherington Trenar. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Crystal Trenar, 1 sister, Barbara Farewell and 1 brother, William Trenar.

Tommy was a 1977 graduate of Giles High School. He was an avid wood worker and liked hunting and fishing. He adored his family, his daughters and especially his grandson, Nathan and his dog Cricket and his cat, Max.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Ellen Gusler Trenar of Pearisburg, 2 daughters, Amanda Trenar (Jamie Sarver) of Christiansburg, Heather Trenar (Nicholas Reweti) of Australia, 1 grandson, Nathanial Sarver, 1 brother, Richard Trenar (Norma) of Pearisburg, 4 sisters, Nancy Matuszczyk, Linda Melvin, Drema Simmons (Charlie) and Carol Robertson (Taz) of Pearisburg and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 1pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with Charles Henderson officiating with interment following in the Wilburn Cemetery in Wilburn Valley, VA.
