Dent, Lois Fleeman

Lois Virginia Dent, 84 of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. Lois was born on June 5, 1938, in Narrows, VA and was a daughter of the late Elmer Arland Fleeman and Minnie Belle Fleeman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Beatrice Carter and Francis Sears, 2 brothers, Freddie Thorne and Jerry Fleeman and 2 brothers-in-law Earl Sears and Kyle Dent.

Lois and her husband, before she was ill, enjoyed going to Hardees for breakfast with other friends. She enjoyed riding by the Duck Pond in Narrows and trips to Myrtle Beach, SC to see her family. As she became more ill, she became closer to God, praying each night with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Owen Dent of Narrows, 2 daughters, Teresa L. Barker (Randy) of Narrows, Vicky s. Fletcher of Narrows, 3 sisters, Maxine Carter (Tommy) of Narrows, Loretta Dent of Narrows, Kathy Fleeman (Jimmy) of Bluefield, WV, 2 grandsons, Michael Hughes (Violet), Keith Morris (Zaakkia), 4 great grandchildren, Kendra Hughes, Elijah Hughes, Abby Hughes, Ethan Morris and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 1 pm, at Mountain View Ministries Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Jim W Hagy, Sr. officiating with burial following in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service from 12 – 1pm.
