Statement on Homicide in Pulaski County 4On Sunday, May 23 at around 4 a.m. Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to 8200 block of Parrott River Rd. in reference to a possible homicide.

Upon arrival Deputies located a female victim who was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Through investigation it was determined that the victim, Anna Amburgey and suspect Corey Hodge were involved in a physical disturbance that led to Amburgey’s death.

Hodge fled the scene and was later located by Pulaski Police Department on Oakhurst Ave. in the town of Pulaski.

Hodge was charged with Second Degree Murder, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of firearm by a convicted felon.

Hodge was held without bond at New River Valley Regional Jail.
