Smith, Donald Glenn

Donald Glenn Smith, 60 of Pembroke, Virginia departed this life August 16, 2023 at his home. Born in Pearisburg, VA on February 18, 1963 he was a son of Lowell Curtis Smith and Jo Ann Young Smith.

Donald was a fork lift operator for Phoenix Packaging. His first priority was spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and yard work.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Lowell Curtis Smith and Jo Ann Young Smith; wife, Rachel Brown Smith; sons, Chad Smith (Meredith) of Fort Worth, TX, and Hunter Smith (Frankie) of Pearisburg, VA; daughters, Morgan Hinkley of Charleston, WV, Laken Green (Jordan) of Rich Creek, VA, and McKinzie Smith of Pembroke, VA; grandchildren, Bryce, Brennan, Maizlynn, Bennett, Zayden, Lawson, Kinsley, Colt, Laynee, Cruz, and one on the way; sisters, Vicki Smith of Pembroke, and Jeannie Sollars (Shaun Northup) of Raleigh, NC; and best friend, Fuzzy Farley.

A Funeral Service will be conducted Monday, August 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ricky Green officiating. Funeral services will conclude in the Fillinger Cemetery in Pembroke, VA. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel.
