Perdue, Charles Foster 8Charles “C.F.” Foster Perdue, 85, of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 25, 2023, at his home. C.F. was born on September 8, 1937, in Pulaski, Va and was a son of the late George Elmer Perdue and Helen Mae Brookman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Dean Perdue and Bobby Newton Perdue and 1 sister, Joretta Ann Spangler

C.F. attended Narrows High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran, with 9 years’ service. He retired as a supervisor from the Celanese Corp in Narrows with over 35 years of service. C.F. was an avid traveler and wood worker. But what he most loved in life was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his friends. He never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Oneeda D. Perdue of Narrows, 3 daughters, Sherri R. Perdue (Ty) of Radford, Tina P. Bragg (Jody) of Narrows, Tanya P. Nixon (Shawn) of Narrows, 4 grandchildren, Tyrell Johnson (Jonna) of Pulaski, Larissa Gilbert (Todd) of Pearisburg, Jordan Bragg of FL., Gavin Nixon of Narrows, 6 great grandchildren, Liam, Colson, Zach, Asher and Abbie Gilbert and Lainey Johnson, brother Jeff Perdue (Teresa) of Narrows and 2 sisters, Joyce Reed (Leon) of GA and Carolyn Perdue (Richard) of Narrows and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 2pm at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church in Narrows with Pastor Tony Robertson officiating with burial following in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends, Wednesday at the church 1 hour before the service from 1 – 2pm. Military honors services will be given by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the VFW Post # 6000.
