New Year’s Day Observance

Blacksburg: Saturday, December 31 The Community Center will be closing at 5pm.

Sunday, January 1
The Community Center and Aquatic Center will be closed.
There will be no Blacksburg Transit service.

Monday, January 2
All town administrative offices will be closed.
Blacksburg Transit will operate on reduced service.
Blacksburg Transit offices will be closed.
There will be no trash or recycling service in the SE quadrant on Monday, Jan. 2. The make-up day will be Wednesday, January 4. Please have all materials at the curb by 7am.

Christiansburg: In observance of the New Year, Town Hall will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2.

The Aquatic Center will be open Saturday, Dec. 31 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The facility will be closed Sunday, Jan. 1 and Monday, Jan. 2.

The Recreation Center will be open Saturday, Dec. 31 operating under regular hours. The facility will be closed Sunday, Jan. 1 and Monday, Jan. 2.

Solid waste normally scheduled for Mondays will be collected on Tuesday, Jan. 3, along with Tuesday’s regular collection.
