Morris, James
Mr. James Morris 71 of Pulaski departed this life on April 16th. He was born on March 26, 1954 to Willie Langston Morris and Rosetta Morris, of who has preceded him in death.
James was also preceded in death by six siblings, Betty Jo Morris, Margaret McClanahan, Emma Fuller, Evelyn White, Debra Ann Cook and Ralph Langston Morris. He is survived by two brothers, Willie Junior Morris and Thomas Morris.
I remember growing up with uncle Jamie, he didn’t acquire much of text book learning, but he was very witty in technology and nature. If ever a radio or other electronics needed fixing, Jamie would fix it. He also had a genuine touch with nature. He would take under his wings, stray or neglected animals. Once he took in some pigeons. They roosted upstairs in the Orange house we lived in. Those pigeons didn’t like me though. If I attempted to climb the staircase, they would attack me, worse than those hens would if I got too close to their chicks.
Jamie could pick a twig up from the ground and root it. He was talented and gifted by the blessings God bestowed upon him. He never sowed a bad seed, nor did he ever reap one. He will be greatly missed.
