Meade, Sr., Charles Jeffory

Charles Jeffory Meade, Sr., 72, of Radford, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026. He served in the U. S. Air Force and the Army Reserves, and was a retired officer at Red Onion Prison.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Joyce Cantrell Meade; and wife, Jackie Lee Meade.

Survivors include his children, Charles J. Meade, Jr., David Meade, Joseph Meade, Crista Meade and Jennifer Bratton; 9 grandchildren; father, Billy Harris Meade; brothers, Stephen Meade and Daniel Meade; sisters, Billie Joyce Mullins and Clarine Wilson; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services with full military services will be private.
