Boon, Timothy Scott
Timothy Scott Boon, a cherished son, devoted father, and kind-hearted community member, passed away on May 31, 2026, in Christiansburg, Virginia, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 4, 1969, in Virginia and raised in Montgomery County, Timothy’s life was marked by a dedication to hard work, a deep love for animals, and a compassionate spirit that touched those around him.
Timothy was a proud employee of Blacksburg Laundromat for ten years, where he faithfully served the community with diligence and care. Following this, he continued his career with Arrow Stone Creations, where he worked year-round ensuring parking lots were kept clear of snow and debris, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities.
Timothy’s kindness extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was well known for his willingness to help others and his affection for all animals, especially cats. His loyalty and warmth were also evident in his relationship with his faithful canine companion, Dexter, who remained by his side.
He is survived by his loving mother, Irene Jones; his two daughters, Rhiana McCoy and Destini Farley; and numerous other family members including aunts, uncles, and cousins who mourn the loss of a beloved family member. Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Roger W. Boon.
The community will remember Timothy for his generosity, his gentle nature, and the positive impact he made in the lives of those around him. Services to honor his memory will be scheduled at a later date. Those wishing to assist with funeral expenses are encouraged to contact family members or Horne Funeral Home.
Timothy Scott Boon’s legacy of kindness and dedication remains an enduring testament to a life well lived. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
