Kanode, Gary Lynn
Gary Lynn Kanode, age 65 of Christiansburg, died Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born in Radford, Virginia on October, 14th, 1957.
Gary’s love of cars led him to owning his own dealership, Kanode Motors, for 40 years. He never met a stranger. His greatest joy was his two daughters, Alex and Sidney. He taught them the love of fast cars and rock n’ roll music. Just an amazing husband, son and father.
Gary is preceded in death by his father Clinton Kanode and daughter Alexandra Nichole Kanode. He is survived by his mother Virginia Kanode, wife Debi Zackary and daughter Sidney Faith Kanode.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Obenchain officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Church, P.O Box 221, Christiansburg, VA 24068

Gary was always a great friend. We knew each other all our life. We always stayed close .I’m thankful for his friendship all these years. Rest in peace Gary.uch love an condolences to ur family

I’m so very sorry to hear this. Gary and I dated in high school. He was a kind and gentle soul. I thought of him often over the years.
Regarding his love of fast cars, I do remember his blue corvette which was a really big deal for a tenth grade girl. He would pick me up after school.
