Join the Blacksburg July 4th Parade
The Mount Tabor Ruritan Club is sponsoring the Thirty-eighth Annual Blacksburg 4th of July Parade. We invite you to join us with your floats, bicycles, wagons, marchers, walkers, antique/classic cars, race cars, horses, fire engines, scouts, bands, sports teams, etc.
WHEN: Saturday, July 4, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
ROUTE: Starting at Midtown Blacksburg and Eheart Street SE. Parade will end on Alumni Mall, near Tech’s Drillfield.
CHECK-IN & LINE-UP:
1:30 p.m. — Line up on Eheart Street. Line-up information will be e‑mailed to participants a few days before the parade. Mount Tabor Ruritan Club members will be on hand to assist with line-up.
THEME: 250th Trifecta – Country, Commonwealth, and County
FLOAT LIMITATIONS: No more than 13 feet high. Candy may be passed out, but MUST NOT BE THROWN
FROM VEHICLES. This is so that kids don’t run into the street near vehicle wheels to pick up candy. Vehicles must travel at parade speed and not accelerate towards spectators.

Beginning at 6 p.m., the Blacksburg Parks & Recreation Department (540-443-1100) will have music, food and entertainment near the Blacksburg Recreation Center, ending with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
