Huffman, Audrey L. 4Audrey L Huffman, 85, of Christiansburg VA, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, with his loved ones by his side. Audrey was born October 13, 1937, in Montgomery County, VA.

Audrey was the oldest of five children born to Arthur L and Viola Lovern Huffman. Audrey retired from Hercules where he worked in security, but his favorite job was owning his own business, Huffman’s Auto Sales which was more like a hobby than a job and Audrey loved doing it, he spent many happy days working under the hood of a car.

Audrey was a kind and loving man who loved God and his family. Audrey’s family meant everything to him and he always took care of them in every way that he could. He was married to his beloved wife Sue for 65 years. They had one daughter, Paula, whom he shared a special loving relationship with. She married Michael L Hill and Audrey gained a son whom he thought the world of. But Audrey’s great joy was his two grandchildren, Wesley and Daniel, he loved them wholeheartedly and cherished each moment he spent with them. He also shared a close relationship with his younger brothers and sisters whom he loved very much. He looked forward to each time they were able to set together and fellowship.

Audrey was a very patriotic man and a veteran who served in the United States Army. He was stationed in the state of Washington and fondly recalls his time there. He loved God and attended church. He enjoyed many things like flea markets, yard sales, and auctions. Cars were his passion and he often used his knowledge of them to help others. He liked to help people and did so many times, in his own quiet way, throughout his life. He loved spending time with his friends and often his car lot and Mcdonald’s were their ideal meeting places.

Audrey was preceded in death by his father Arthur L Huffman, his mother Viola Lovern Huffman, his brother Danny R Huffman, brother-in-law Howard E Linkous, and a sister-in-law N. Joanne Huffman.

He is survived by his wife Naomi “Sue” Linkous Huffman; daughter, Paula H Hill (Michael L); grandsons Wesley M Hill and Daniel L Hill; Brother Donald Huffman, Sisters, Linda Phillips (T Hoyt) and Wanda Wright (James), sister in law Kathy Huffman, brother in law Lenwood W Linkous (Joan) and many extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm at McCoy Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
