Drought Update

A sharp contrast in conditions across the region this month. West of the Blue Ridge: 6 to 8 inches of rain has led to ABOVE NORMAL stream flows along the New, Holston, and Clinch Rivers. East of the Blue Ridge: Lower rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches haven’t been enough to keep up, leaving stream flows MUCH BELOW NORMAL across the James, Roanoke, and Dan Rivers.
