Driscoll, Peg Lee 2Margaret Lee “Peg” Driscoll, 94, of Blacksburg, formerly of Cincinnati, OH, and Louisville, KY, died Friday, July 3, 2026. She was born in Louisville, KY, on June 11, 1932, to the late Lawrence E. and Margaret McCormick Driscoll.

Peg was a former member of the Warm Hearth Foundation Board which she chaired; the Community Foundation Board; the University Club Board which she chaired; Director of a Girl Scout Camp in Indiana; Director of a Day Camp for the Recreation Department of Louisville, KY; staff member of the International Archery Camp in Vermont; former member of St. Mary’s Pastoral Council, Finance Council, Chaired the 50th Anniversary yearlong celebration committee, was a member of the Capital Campaign Committees for both the Harding Avenue Church and the Old Mill Road Church and was a member of numerous committees in the church but her greatest pride and joy was the Madonna, Child, World Statue that stand near the entrance of St. Mary’s Church off Old Mill Road as it was a donation to the church in her honor from her eight nieces and nephews.

Peg taught in the Public Schools of Cincinnati, the University of Cincinnati, and Virginia Tech where she retired with the award of Professor Emeritus. She was always so proud of her former students and used to say they are all over the world and such successful and contributing individuals to society.

She is survived by her six nieces and nephews, two grandnieces, and three grandnephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 2:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Driscoll officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at the church. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10:00 am at Calvary Cemetery, 1167 Barret Avenue, Louisville, KY, 40204. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Warm Hearth Village or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
