December/January Holiday Closings

Town of Blacksburg

Thursday, December 23
All town administrative offices will be closed.
The Blacksburg Community Center will be closed.

Friday, December 24
All town administrative offices will be closed.
The Blacksburg Community Center and Aquatic Center will be closed.

Saturday, December 25
The Blacksburg Community Center and Aquatic Center will be closed.
There will be no Blacksburg Transit service.

Friday, December 31
All town administrative offices will be closed.
The Blacksburg Community Center will be closed

Saturday, January 1
The Blacksburg Community Center will be closed.
The Blacksburg Aquatic Center will be open from 8am-5pm.
There will be no Blacksburg Transit service

Christiansburg
Town Hall will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 23, and Friday, Dec. 24.

The Aquatic and Recreation Centers will be open on Thursday, Dec. 23. The facilities will be closed Friday, Dec. 24, and Saturday, Dec. 25.

Solid waste and recycling normally scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 23, will be collected Tuesday, Dec. 21, along with Tuesday’s regular collection.

Solid waste and recycling normally scheduled for Friday, Dec. 24, will be collected Wednesday, Dec. 22, along with Wednesday’s regular collection.

Montgomery County
Montgomery County offices and facilities will be closed in observance of December holidays the following days:
December 23
December 24
December 31
Montgomery County Administrative Offices will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Dec. 27 through Dec. 30. County offices will be open the week of Jan. 3.

Radford
City Offices will be closed on Thursday, December 23, Friday, December 24 for the Christmas Holiday. Offices will also be closed on Friday, December 31, 2021 for New Year’s Eve. The sanitation collection schedule is as follows:

Solid Waste Collection:
Thursday, December 23, 2021: Collected on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
Friday, December 24, 2021: Collected on Monday, December 27, 2021.
Friday, December 31, 2021: Collected on Monday, January 3, 2022.
*Please have garbage ready for collection by 7:30 a.m.

Drop Center Hours:
Thursday, December 23-Saturday, December 25: Closed
Friday, December 31-Saturday, January 1: Closed

Giles County
All garbage collection will be on normal schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holiday. Convenience centers will close at 1pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
