Davis, Shelby Proco

Shelby Proco Davis, of Christiansburg, passed away July 27, 2026. She was 90 years of age. Shelby was a member of Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Davis; father, George W. Proco; mother, Ruby Clark Proco; stepmother, Ileta Moses Proco; brothers, Paul and Garland Proco; and sisters, Lois Hodges and Donna Roberts.

Shelby is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, John B. Davis (Cindy) and Jeffrey Davis, all of Christiansburg; daughter, Elaine Hamlin (Jared) of Lyons, GA; granddaughters, Kelley Davis, Gracie, Georgia, and Giana Hamlin; grandson, Nathan Hamlin. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Evanne Fleming (Keith) of Garner, NC; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 1-2 p.m. at Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. at the Church, with Pastor Richard Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Proco Family Cemetery, Blacksburg.
