Davis, Edna Mae
Edna Mae Davis, 80, of Rich Creek, Virginia, entered her heavenly home on June 14, 2026, and is now resting in the arms of her Savior after a life devoted to faith, family, and service.
Born on November 12, 1945, in Pineville, West Virginia, Edna was the daughter of the late George Baugh and Lillie Baugh Kenney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Leslie M. Heath; her husband, Philip Davis Sr.; her daughter, Martha Reed; her brothers, Roy Baugh and Luther Baugh; her brother-in-law, Dallie Lambert; her nephew, David Lambert; her sister-in-law, Sue Baugh, and her sister-in-law, Margie Baugh.
Edna was a 1963 graduate of Pineville High School and later graduated from West Virginia Institute of Technology in Charleston, WV. Throughout her career, she worked as an accountant for more than 55 years, serving in various positions, including with H&R Block in Welch, West Virginia. She later retired from Mountain State Home Health.
A woman of strong faith, Edna enjoyed serving her church and cherished the friendships and fellowship she found there. She held a special love and appreciation for her forever friend, Phyllis Cole, and her church family.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Vicky Johnson, and son-in-law, Bill Johnson; her beloved granddaughter, Kayla Johnson; her sister, Kay Lambert; her brother, Walter Baugh, and his wife, Fran; her brother, Paul Kenney, and his wife, Ruby; and several cherished nieces and nephews: Jennifer and Scott Franks, Jesse and Faye Baugh, Monica Jackson, Michael Baugh, Tshonia Pennington, Shane and Sherri Baugh, Paul James Kenney, and Jessica and Jake Cottam.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her devoted nurse and caregiver, Michele Peck, for her exceptional care, kindness, and unwavering compassion. They also extend sincere thanks to all of her hospice nurses for the comfort and support they provided.
In keeping with her wishes, Edna will be cremated. A Celebration of Life honoring her will be announced at a later date and held at Wesleyan Chapel in Beckley, West Virginia.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
