Carper, Margaret Jarrell

Margaret Ann Carper, 71, our “Cherokee Dancing Queen” of Christiansburg passed away September 24, 2022. Maggie’s bright spirit will be missed as well as her van dancing, her singing and laughter. We will miss our conversations by the creek and our dinners at Cracker Barrel with her dazzling jewelry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar B. Jarrell and Mary Sartin; and a brother, Oscar S. Jarrell.

Margaret is survived by her sister, Mary Hinkley; nephews, James & Brandy Stump and Wayne & Rachel Stump; great nephew, James Mason Stump; partner, Chuck Edmonds; children, Sharon Rose Toth, Sarah Ann Lopez, Isreal Ray Cooper, and Martha Ann Layton; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and her beloved “Puppy”.
