Buchanan, Stephen Morris

Stephen Morris Buchanan, age 76 of Pulaski passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Lewis-Gale Hospital, Pulaski. Steve was born on August 17, 1950 in Pulaski and was a resident all his life. He was the son of the late Jentery Buchanan & Laura Wyatt Buchanan. He was also preceded in death by his brother Samuel Buchanan and his brother-in-law Henry Sayers.

Wife – Juanita Gayle Buchanan

Son – Stephen Anthony “Tony” Buchanan

Granddaughter – Molly Elizabeth Buchanan

Sisters – Rometta Carrico, Linda Sayers, Becky & husband Charles Jackson

Steve graduated from Pulaski High School – Class of 1968 and then New River Community College. He worked at Jefferson Mills and retired from Overnite Transportation. He enjoyed helping family, friends and loved golf.

The family would like to thank Lewis-Gale Hospital, Dr. Dove and the Emergency Room staff for their experience, empathy and compassion.
