Altizer, Timothy Guy
Timothy Guy Altizer, of Pilot, Virginia who was born on January 19, 1982, in Christiansburg, Virginia, and passed away on July 23, 2026, in Blacksburg, Virginia, will be remembered with deep love by all who knew him.
He was the son of Shelor and Barbara Altizer, and from the beginning of his life, he was surrounded by the strength, care, and devotion of his family. Timothy carried those family ties with him always, and he valued the people closest to him throughout his life. He shared a special companionship with Holly Varner, whose presence was an important part of his journey. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael Brown, Stephen Brown, and Gary Brown, and by his beloved sister and best friend, Tammy Sheppard (Kenny). Timothy was a proud uncle to Trista Brown (Brad), Faith Brown, Alexis Brown, and Adam Brown, and he held each of them close in his heart.
Timothy lived a life marked by warmth, loyalty, and a genuine appreciation for the simple joys that made life meaningful. He was known for his love of the water, and some of his happiest moments were spent swimming, boating, tubing, and enjoying anything that involved being near the water. These interests reflected his spirited nature and his ability to find peace and happiness in the outdoors. Whether he was making memories on the water or spending time with those he loved, Timothy brought a sense of ease and enjoyment to the moments he shared with others. He truly enjoyed spending his time with his dear friends throughout the course of his life.
There will be a graveside service conducted for Timothy in the Huffield Cemetery in Pilot, Virginia on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Charlie Statzer officiating.
