Epperly, Sr., Samuel Jesse

Samuel Jesse Epperly Sr., 68 of Christiansburg, passed away January 12, 2026.

He was a former concrete contractor operating under the name Sam Epperly Concrete. He loved his grandsons – he was a great Papaw.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Epperly; and siblings, Marshall Epperly, Terry Epperly, and Judy Epperly.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Epperly; son, Sammy Epperly Jr. and fiancée, Rebecca; stepchildren, Elmer Price, Sally Orange, Faye Price; grandsons, Liam Keach and Owen Epperly; special nephew, Terry Lee Epperly, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and cat, Smokey.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 3 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
