Strong Damaging Winds Possible Monday Night

A deep low pressure system will trigger strong to damaging winds on Monday night, with gusts ranging from 40 mph to 55 mph across the mountains & foothills, and potentially 60 mph or higher along the crest of the Blue Ridge and other peaks.

These winds are likely to bring down trees, resulting in scattered power outages.

In addition, wind chills will range from near zero across the mountains to the lower teens across the Piedmont.
