Shooting Death in Radford

Radford, VA – On September 13, 2025, at approximately 2:35 a.m., officers with the Radford City Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Downey Street. Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A juvenile suspect has been taken into custody and charged with Second-Degree Murder, Possession of a Handgun by a Person Under 18, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
